Shaquem Griffin does 20 reps in the bench
University of Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin is giving scouts who doubted him reason to reconsider. Griffin threw up 20 reps in the 225-pound bench press while using a prosthetic hand.
It was three more reps than his twin brother, Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin, had last year and was three more than Oklahoma tight end Mark Andrews, six more than Oklahoma offensive lineman Orlando Brown and only three less than South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert and Michigan offensive lineman Mason Cole.
In late November, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reported the Packers filed paperwork in an effort to reclaim some of the $6.3 million signing bonus they gave the Texas A&M product.
Bennett enjoyed a solid decade-long career at the pro level that also featured stops with the Dallas Cowboys, who selected him in the second round of the 2008 draft, New York Giants and Chicago Bears before his two stints with the Pats and his short stay in Green Bay.
The San Diego native caught 433 passes for 4,573 yards and 30 touchdowns in 144 regular-season appearances. He added 14 grabs for 125 yards in five playoff games.

The 23-year-old Howard has 2,435 yards and 15 touchdowns in his two seasons with the Bears, and he’s under contract for two more years at very affordable salaries. The 25-year-old Landry has an unprecedented 400 catches in his first four NFL seasons but would cost $16 million this season on the franchise tag.Minkah Fitzpatrick has spent time learning from Patrick Peterson
Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick doesn’t know whether he will play cornerback or safety in the NFL, but he recently got pointers from Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson.
I was out there for three days in Arizona, Fitzpatrick said. I was just out there picking his mind, asking him a whole bunch of questions, working out with him and going through his daily routine. We had some fun. He’d just show me what he did on a day-to-day basis, and of course, I worked out with him, trained with them. Two-hour sessions every time we worked out. He’s pushing me. My feet were bleeding. I was working, but I was getting better. I took a lot from the few days I spent out there. I enjoyed it, and I’m applying what I learned here.
